PRIVACY NOTICE - SLeak APPLICATION

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for SLeak application. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this application. It will notify you of the following:

1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the application, how it is used and with whom it may be shared;

2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data;

3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information; and

4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information collection

SLeak application collects data to operate effectively. We collect the following types of information:

Information you provide us directly:

- Basic personal data is collected in the form of a user registration form to be completed (including your name, e-mail address and affiliation) and approved by the owners of the application

- User feedback (e.g. comments and suggestions) that you post on the application. The feedback is used by the developers of the application to improve content and user experience.

Bigen Africa Group Holdings (PTY) Ltd are the sole owners of the information collected from this application. We only have access to / collect information that you voluntarily submit to us via the application.

The information in this application is acquired through direct collection of information from individuals in a fair and transparent manner.

Information use

We will use your information to send service related notifications to you regarding registration status and new projects linked to your profile. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to inform you about new releases of the SLeak application or changes to this privacy policy.

In addition to some of the specific uses of information we describe in this Privacy Notice, we may use information that we receive to:

- help you efficiently access your information after you sign in;

- remember information so you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the application;

- provide, improve, test, and monitor the effectiveness of our application;

- develop and test new products and features;

- monitor metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; and

- diagnose and/or fix technology problems.

Information sharing

We will not sell or rent this personal data to anyone. We will not share your personal information with any third party outside of our organisation, other than the information necessary to fulfil the specific SLeak application’s purpose.

We share aggregated demographic information with our clients and partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

Your access to and control over information

Security
In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2014 (POPI) we take precautions to ensure that the integrity and confidentiality of your information is secured through safeguards.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example reporting or progress reports) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Your information collected through the application may be stored and processed in South Africa, the United States or any other country in which SLeak application or Bigen Africa Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd maintain facilities.

For purposes of Bigen Africa Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd projects and related activities – SLeak application may transfer information that we collect about you, including personal information across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world.

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to help keep the information collected through the application secure and take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to emails between you and the SLeak application, at all times.

Use of Cookies

We do not make use of "cookies" in this application.
